Lorem 2 came into existence in 2008 out of a desire need to have a far nicer, better place in which to get my Lorem copy each day. The entire website was designed, coded and launched in about a six weeks. To my surprise, within a couple of months, Lorem 2 had become the go-to lorem site on the web. At one point, it ranked number 2 or 3 on Google.

Over a decade later, the team here decided to revamp the site, making it easier on the eyes and more friendly for the modern web. The site before you is responsive and works across devices (though I know that not too many people copy lorem off their smartphones).

Most importantly, the site is built to take on typefaces of various foundries and font services. Featuring and promoting beautiful, groundbreaking and important typefaces, Lorem 2 not only becomes a useful tool but a typographic platform.

This website was designed by Manoverboard, a purpose-driven design studio providing identity, web development and content strategy to change-seeking organizations. Manoverboard merged with Mangrove Web in 2023.

Lorem 2 was masterfully designed and coded by Jordan Wooster with guidance and assistance from Dan Lamb and Jory Kruspe. The original Lorem 2 site was coded by the late Michael Barrish.
