Our Parish of Blackwell lies 2 miles east of Alfreton, 8 miles west of Mansfield, 10 miles south of Chesterfield, and 15 miles north from Derby and Nottingham

Join Greater Creative- a group of Blackwell Parish residents on a mission to gather, share, celebrate and preserve our “proper local history” on the “ Home Truths” heritage project.

As we began this process we realised how much “proper local history” we have in our villages, and while we have collected some in these pages, we know there’s lots more out there in your memories and photos, so please let us know, and if you see something that needs correcting, please shout out!
