The Church Hall was also the venue for the Youth Club frequented by the young people who attended church rather than chapel,and the location for dances and shows from its opening into the 1950s and 60s.

And from about 1946 /7 we have a couple of photos from Gwyneth Allwod of youth club members from Newton at the Amber Valley Camp, the site of which is now beneath Ogston Reservoir.
